Wholistic Vegetarian Cuisine by Kirsten Gum

While in Peru, we will be eating the Best Food EVER!  The daily menu will consist of simple and delicious, vegan food with raw choices at all meals utilizing an abundance of local fruits and vegetables.  Due to the high altitude and climate, local, cooked vegan dishes such as quinoa soup will be offered as well.  All of the food on this trip is created by our Lead Chef, Kirsten Gum and her team.  Most meals are included on the David Wolfe Adventure to Peru, with some exceptions while we are on the road in the Sacred Valley. (The meals that are not included can be bought inexpensively depending on where and what you choose to eat.  Suggestions will be given). Box lunches will be provided by our Chef for the majority of our day-trip excursions.

Internationally recognized journalist, television host, gourmet raw food chef and certified instructor, Kirsten Gum has dedicated her life to seeking knowledge and relaying it to You!  Her fun loving spirit and passion for extreme experiences have helped her build an unconventional career first in television adventure travel and now with the healing power of food. Born in rugged Alaska and raised on an apple orchard in Washington, Kirsten has always been connected to the earth. It was her love for the outdoors and adventure which led Kirsten to a successful television career and traveling the globe. She has her own show “Treasure Hunter” on the Travel Channel and hosts Discovery HD Theater’s “What’s My Car Worth”.
