Cusco Arrival Day. Orientation & Group Dinner at our Cusco Hotel. Please arrive into Cusco NO LATER than 2pm (We highly recommend coming a day (or 2) early to get acclimated to the altitude)

Tour of Cusco’s Sacred Sites: Saqsewaman & Tambomachay w/ David & our favorite local tour guide. At the Water Temple, we will receive a blessing from members of the Q'ero tribe to start our journey. Tonight is an introduction to Wachuma plant medicine after dinner

Travel Day. Journey to Santa Teresa via train. Spend the evening in Santa Teresa at a stunning private campground (tents, fluffy comforters, pillows and all equipment is provided and set up for you)
Monday ~ April 30, 2018
Depart early for Lucmabamba and hike to Ilactapata, the mountain range directly across from Machu Picchu. Our extraordinary hiking day is followed by a late afternoon at our favorite hotsprings. We will spend another night at the campground & enjoy a family dinner
Tuesday ~ May 1, 2018
Zip lining in the morning high above the tree line of the jungle, followed by a hike (or a short train ride, which is optional) to Aquas Calientes, the base city of Machu Picchu. Tonight we will meet with our magical guide, the Guardian of Machu Picchu. Dinner will be on your own in town and suggestions on where to go will be given

Wholistic Cuisine
While on our journey, our private Peruvian Chefs will provide all of our delicious, mostly organic, vegetarian, whole food meals. (There are several meals you will be on our own for while on the road but options on where to go will be given & most choose to go as a group). Due to the altitude, weather and very adventurous nature of this journey, we will enjoy seasonal, local foods such as quinoa soup, many varieties of Peruvian potatoes and choclo (local corn) dishes as well as local, delicious in season fruits and vegetables. There are some raw vegan foods offered but please note this is NOT a 100% raw food journey.

* 5 nights accommodation in the city of Cusco at a very special hotel
* 3 nights accommodation in the town of Aquas Calientes (Machu Picchu base)

* Accommodations are double shared rooms (and in a few cases, triple shared rooms). Let us know if you are traveling with friends or a partner or we will match you with a fabulous roommate(s). There are no refunds for cancellations made within 120 days of our departure date (starting December 26, 2017). $500 of ANY purchase is 100% non-refundable and non-transferable. The reason that the initial $500 is not refundable or transferable to another person is because we purchase many tickets upon your behalf, in your name after you register as several sites sell out due to daily limits and are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased. A full refund less the non-refundable $500 is available up until midnight on December 25, 2017. We can work with you if you know someone who would like to purchase your ticket 60 days in advance, however there will be an additional $500 due so we can repurchase tickets for that person (IF tickets are still available). David Wolfe Adventures is not responsible for finding someone to buy your ticket.
